Sign Up or Log In

Create a free account with your email and password. No credit card required. Your Starter plan includes 1,000 credits and access to all basic puzzle types.

Pick a Puzzle Type

From the Dashboard, click any puzzle type card to open its dedicated Builder. Each type has its own configuration options, live preview, and generation controls.

Pro tip: The Dashboard organizes puzzles by tier: Basic (Starter), Advanced (Pro), and Premium (Studio).

Configure Your Puzzle

In the Puzzle Settings tab, configure your puzzle. Choose AI Generated or Custom Words for the word source. Set your theme, age range, difficulty, grid size, and other type-specific options. The live preview on the right updates as you change settings.

Pro tip: AI word generation (Pro/Studio) creates themed word lists instantly. Custom Words lets you paste or type your own word list on any plan.

Generate Pages

At the bottom of the left panel, set how many pages to generate and click the Generate button. Pages appear in the page strip at the bottom. Click any page tile to see its preview. Use the Re-Generate button to get different content for any page.

Pro tip: Each regeneration auto-excludes words already used in the same puzzle type, so every page is unique.

Add Book Pages & Structure

Click the Add Page button to add more puzzle types or book pages. Choose from Cover, Copyright, Table of Contents, Section Dividers, and Custom Pages to structure your book. Drag page tiles to reorder.

Pro tip: The Table of Contents auto-generates page numbers for every puzzle in your book.

Set Layout & Trim Size

Switch to the Global Layout tab to set paper size (6"x9", 8.5"x11", etc.), book title, author name, margins, headers, footers, and borders. All changes update the live preview instantly.

Pro tip: For KDP paperback, use 6"x9" with 0.5" margins minimum. The preview shows exactly how your book will print.

Review & Arrange

Click the workflow button in the header to advance to the Organize & Export stage. Here you can review all pages, fine-tune the answer key layout, adjust page ordering, and see the complete book structure.

Pro tip: Use the answer page settings to choose compact or spacious density, badge styles, and grouping.

Preview Your Book

Use the live preview panel to see every page rendered at full print fidelity. Navigate through pages and verify the layout, typography, and content look exactly right before exporting.

Pro tip: What you see in the preview is what you get in the PDF. same fonts, spacing, and grid rendering.

Export & Publish

Click Publish & Export. Choose whether to export puzzles only, answers only, or both. Select print or digital mode. Your complete, print-ready PDF downloads with cover, table of contents, puzzle pages, and answer key.

Pro tip: Digital mode adds interactive hyperlinks and bookmarks for tablet/e-reader use.

Publish to Amazon KDP

Open the Publisher Tools menu to prepare your KDP listing. The KDP Margin Checker validates your trim size and page count against KDP's minimum-margin and spine-width rules. fix any issues it flags before exporting your final PDF. The Cover Template Generator outputs the exact pixel dimensions Amazon expects for the wrap-around cover (front + spine + back) based on your final page count. The AI Metadata Generator drafts your title, description, and 7 keyword strings tailored to your book contents.

Upload your interior PDF and cover JPEG to KDP, paste in the AI-generated metadata, set your price, and submit for review. KDP usually approves within 72 hours. The Platform Export Guide tool has step-by-step screenshots if it's your first time.

Pro tip: Generate the cover template AFTER you finalize page count. KDP's spine width changes with the exact number of pages.

Manage Your Credits

Every Generate click shows the credit cost on the button before you commit, so you always know what an action will cost. Your live balance is in the dashboard header. Credits come out in this order: subscription credits (the bulk of your monthly allotment), then rollover credits (unused last-month credits, capped), then purchased credits (token packs you bought directly. these never expire).

If you're experimenting with a new puzzle type, regenerate freely: each regeneration costs the same as a fresh generation, but you can throw away the result without affecting anything else. If you run low before your next refill, the Token Packs page sells one-time credit bundles. useful when you have a deadline and don't want to wait.

Pro tip: Your transaction history (in your Profile page) shows every credit charge so you can audit your spending by puzzle type and day.

Troubleshooting

A few things go wrong often enough to mention.

Generation didn't work? Refresh the page first. most transient errors clear. If the page panel shows "Sample Puzzle" instead of your generated content, the generation succeeded but the page strip didn't reload. click another page tile and back. If credits were charged but no puzzle appears, contact support with the date and time and we'll refund.

AI features locked? Check your plan: AI generation is Pro and above. New accounts get 3 free AI trial generations on the Starter plan to try it out.

Export stuck or failing? See the FAQ entry on export times. If a particular page is breaking the export, mark it Locked and re-export. the rest of the book will compile around it.

Image storage full? Custom-page images count toward your plan's image quota. Delete unused images from the image manager (visible from any custom page editor) or upgrade your plan.
