Create an account with your email and password. Start a Free 3-day Trial today and try out our Basic book builder. Trial uses non-AI features.

Pro tip: Standard includes Basic and Advanced features with eligible AI workflows. Premium adds Premium features, Activity Books and Book Blueprint. Current credit allowances appear in your account.

Pick a Puzzle Type

Open Create a book and choose a book type available to your account. Each type has its own settings, live preview, and generation controls.

Pro tip: Create a book starts in Word Games. Change the category to browse other types; feature access follows your Trial, Standard or Premium account.

Set Up Your Puzzle

In the Puzzle Settings tab, set up your puzzle. Choose AI Generated or Custom Words for your word source. Set the theme, age range, difficulty, grid size, and other options for that puzzle type. The live preview on the right updates as you change settings.

Pro tip: On Standard and Premium, AI can suggest words and clues. The builder arranges them into a puzzle. You choose and edit the words, set the page layout and approve the result. Trial uses non-AI options. Use Custom Words to enter your own list where the builder supports it.

Generate Pages

At the bottom of the left panel, set how many pages to generate and click the Generate button. Pages appear in the page strip at the bottom. Click any page tile to see its preview. Use the Re-Generate button to get different content for any page.

Pro tip: Each regeneration skips words you've already used in the same puzzle type, so every page stays unique.

Add Book Pages & Structure

Click Add Page to add more puzzle types or book pages. Choose from Cover Page, Copyright, Table of Contents, Section Dividers, and Custom Pages to build the structure of your book. Drag page tiles to reorder them.

Pro tip: The Table of Contents adds page numbers for every puzzle in your book automatically.

Set Layout & Trim Size

Switch to the Global Layout tab to set paper size (6"x9", 8.5"x11", and more), book title, author name, margins, headers, footers, and borders. Every change updates the live preview right away.

Pro tip: To add fonts, open My library > Fonts or Profile > Customization. Choose Browse Google Fonts to preview and save a family, or upload your own files. In My Fonts, assign the Regular file to a font slot to use it in page settings.

Review & Arrange

Click the workflow button in the header to move to the Organize & Export stage. Here you can review every page, fine-tune the answer key layout, change page order, and see the full structure of your book.

Pro tip: Use the answer page settings to choose compact or spacious density, badge styles, and grouping.

Preview Your Book

Use the live preview panel to see every page rendered at full print quality. Page through your book and check that the layout, typography, and content look right before you export.

Pro tip: What you see in the preview is what you get in the PDF. Same fonts, same spacing, same grids.

Export & Publish

Click Publish & Export. Choose to export puzzles only, answers only, or both. Pick print or digital mode. Your complete, print-ready PDF downloads with the cover, table of contents, puzzle pages, and answer key.

Pro tip: Digital mode adds clickable links and bookmarks for tablets and e-readers.

Publish to Amazon KDP

Open the Publisher Tools menu to prepare your KDP listing. The KDP Margin Checker checks your trim size and page count against KDP's minimum-margin and spine-width rules. Fix any issues it flags before you export your final PDF. The Cover Template Generator gives you the exact pixel size Amazon expects for the wrap-around cover (front, spine, and back), based on your final page count. The AI Metadata Generator drafts your title, description, and 7 keyword strings based on your book's content.

Upload your interior PDF and cover JPEG to KDP, paste in the AI-generated metadata, set your price, and submit for review. KDP usually approves within 72 hours. The Platform Export Guide tool has step-by-step screenshots for your first time.

Pro tip: Generate the cover template after you finalize your page count. KDP's spine width changes with the exact number of pages.

Manage Your Credits

Check the displayed credit quote before starting an action that uses credits. Your account shows the current credit allowance, available balance and transaction history. The cost depends on the selected feature and operation.

Credits are used oldest first: rollover credits, then your current monthly credits, then purchased credits. Purchased credits never expire, but you need an active monthly subscription to use them. They are not refundable. Your monthly credits refill on your own renewal date while your subscription stays active. Unused monthly credits carry over for one month, then expire. A fresh generation may have a new cost. If an operation is interrupted, use its resume or recovery action before starting another request.

Pro tip: Your transaction history (on your Profile page) shows every credit charge, so you can check your spending by puzzle type and day.

Troubleshooting

Generation interrupted? Read the displayed status and use its resume or recovery action when available. If the saved content is still missing, send a support report with the book or project ID and the time of the operation.

AI features unavailable? Trial has no AI access. Standard includes eligible Basic and Advanced AI workflows; Premium adds Premium features. Check both your account access and available credits.

Export interrupted? Check Exports for a completed Courtesy PDF Save before submitting another export. If a page reports a layout problem, correct that page and preview it again before exporting. Locking a book is not a way to repair or skip a broken page.

Storage full? Images, fonts and other saved uploads share your tier storage allowance. User uploads can be up to 100 MB per file. Review file use in My library before removing unused material; files needed by saved books are protected. Seven-day Courtesy PDF Saves are separate and do not use your storage allowance.

Pro tip: The Send Feedback button at the bottom right is the fastest way to report a bug. It captures your current page state automatically, so we can reproduce the issue.
